Lead West Midlands Police story - including geo-code map

One of the men named as West Midlands Police's most wanted men was captured yesterday at a house in Winson Green.
Derek Jones, (23 April 1973) was charged last night (Tuesday 23 November) and is appearing at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning.
He has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply heroin and two counts of conspiracy to supply cocaine.
As released previously these charges relate to alleged drug trafficking between Wolverhampton and Aberdeen.
Background:
Jones was released as wanted as part of Operation Sorcerer, a long running investigation into the supply of drugs in Scotland.
Arrests were carried out in February 2009 with dawn raids in Penn and Tettenhall in Wolverhampton and Ayrshire. Over sixty officers were involved in the action, plus drugs dogs and specialist firearms officers who carried out one of the raids.
More than £100,000 worth of drugs has been recovered as part of this operation.
In a court case which culminated in August, Leonard Dixon, aged 44, from Wolverhampton was sentenced to 10 years in prison at Stafford Crown Court, after being found guilty of two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Melanie Clark, aged 43, from the Tettenhall area of Wolverhampton was sentenced to 4 years and two months in prison, after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
